My Legacy of Faith is a service of a group representing a cross section of Southern Baptist entities volunteering with the goal of promoting and developing a culture of Biblical Estate Stewardship

The discussion began in September 2009 at a meeting hosted by the International Mission Board. We considered the questions that included, "What would happen if we applied our collective energies?", "How could we advance an initiative that offered value to the church at every level: to churches and pastors, to believers, to ministry organizations and entities?", and "Is it possible for us to work together in a spirit of cooperation (vs. competition) and have spirit reflected in the results: cooperative work that honors our Lord?" The contents of this website reflect, in part, that effort.

We promote Biblical “whole life stewardship” developing an understanding and maximum use of all resources including financial resources, natural gifts and spiritual gifts with which God has entrusted us.

We believe:

  • God owns everything
  • We are called to be stewards of our time, talent and treasure
  • The single largest act of financial stewardship most believers will ever undertake involves how they plan and distribute their estate assets.

Therefore, we desire every Southern Baptist and every believer to have the opportunity to participate in quality estate planning as an act of stewardship.

To the greatest extent possible we have provided these resources in free, online and downloadable formats.  We encourage you share them enthusiastically.

MLOF is a work in progress.  While this site offers readers access to a wide array of information and helps, we will be seeking to add to it and improve it in months and years to come.
